Created by Isamu Noguchi in 1951, the Akari Light Sculptures are handmade in Japan using traditional washi paper and bamboo ribbing, techniques that give each lamp its distinctive softness and character. Noguchi described his Akari lights as “sculptures for daily use,” uniting functionality with a poetic sense of form.

The Akari 20N is a tall floor lamp with a rounded, organic shade that gently diffuses light across a space.
