The Vase Rocchetto is a spool-shaped ceramic Vase designed by Aldo Londi for the Rimini Blu collection. Its distinctive silhouette is wrapped in engraved stencil motifs, geometric and abstract patterns that create a rhythmic, tactile surface. The vivid turquoise glaze, layered over hand-brushed cobalt accents, enhances the texture and gives the piece a luminous finish that shifts with the light. Each Vase Rocchetto is hand-thrown in white refractory clay and finished by Bitossi’s artisans in Montelupo, Italy, using the same techniques developed by Londi in the 1950s. The decoration is applied while the clay is still soft, then glazed and fired to reveal the full depth of colour and detail.
